THE PROCESS

Regenerative Psychology provides comprehensive psychological assessments via telehealth.

01. Referral

Most assessments are available via self-referral. GP’s, parents, and teachers may also provide referrals for some assessments.

Firearms Risk assessments require a GP referral, and provision of documentation from the Firearms Registry.

02. Intake

Upon enquiry, you will receive an email to complete an online intake form. This will include:

  • Consent form outlining confidentiality and ethical considerations
  • Brief questions to establish the nature of the assessment and your goals
  • Payment details (e.g., credit card – stored securely in Halaxy)
03. Scheduling

Following referral / enquiry you will be invited to schedule the assessment. You may opt to schedule this in multiple parts.

04. Assessment sessions

Assessments are typically conducted via telehealth.

All assessments commence with a structured or semi-structured interview aimed at gathering background information.

Following this, the psychometrics will be administered. Some components will be completed independently, in your home, using a computer or smart device to respond to questionnaires (additional fees apply if you require support for this administration).

For most assessments, payment is required on the day of the session in full.

05. Report and feedback

Any outstanding fees will need to be paid prior to the release of the report.

Some packages include an additional feedback session.

If a feedback session is included or added to your package, this will be scheduled following the completion of your assessment appointment. At this session you will be provided a summary of the assessment findings and a copy of your report will be emailed to you. You will be invited to ask questions and if interventions are recommended options for these recommendations will be discussed.

If you do not have a feedback session in your package, you will receive your report via email. If you have questions following review you are welcome to schedule a feedback session.

Firearms Assessments reports are provided directly to the Firearms Registry as per their requirements. If you would like a copy of this report, please schedule a 30 minute feedback session to discuss and the content, these reports can at times be confronting as they are written for the Firearms Registry, not the consumer.
