Wendy Devine | Telehealth Psychologist

Registered psychologist


Wendy (she/her) is a dedicated psychologist who is caring, collaborative and empowering in her work with clients. She takes a client centred approach, and works with a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to suit the preferences and needs of clients. Her therapy approaches primarily include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She has lived most of her life in remote, rural and regional communities, so relates to the lived experience of living in these areas.

Wendy has completed a Master of Clinical Psychology (with Distinction) from the University of Newcastle. She has experience working in both community mental health and private practice settings with a range of emotional difficulties, mostly with adults and older adolescents. She also has an interest in research and has published papers in the area of post-traumatic growth. 

Wendy values the importance of the therapeutic relationship and taking the time to understand each individual’s experience.  She will work together with you to clarify your challenges, develop a plan to help guide therapy, and support you in achieving the changes you are hoping for in a practical and compassionate way.  She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and AAPI. Outside of psychology, Wendy loves adventures with her family, travelling as much as possible, and finding good coffee and books.
