Couples Therapy at Regenerative Psychology
Strengthening connection, communication, and understanding — together.
Relationships are one of the most important parts of our lives, yet every couple experiences periods of disconnection, conflict, or feeling “stuck.” At Regenerative Psychology, we offer evidence-based couples therapy designed to help you rebuild trust, deepen emotional intimacy, and develop practical tools for navigating challenges.
One of our practitioners is trained in the Gottman Method, a world-renowned, research-based approach proven to support long-term relationship health.
What Is the Gottman Method?
The Gottman Method is based on over 40 years of research studying what makes relationships succeed, or struggle. Rather than focusing solely on conflict, the Gottman Method helps partners strengthen the foundations of their relationship, known as the Sound Relationship House, which includes:
- Trust and commitment
- Friendship and fondness
- Effective conflict management
- Shared meaning
- Emotional connection and intimacy
Sessions are structured, practical, and focused on skills that couples can start using straight away.
Who Couples Therapy Can Help
Our Gottman-based couples therapy is suitable for:
- Long-term partners
- Married couples
- New couples wanting a strong foundation
- Couples facing life transitions
- Couples navigating stress, parenting, rural pressures, or communication breakdowns
- Couples recovering from infidelity or major ruptures
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit, many couples attend to strengthen a healthy relationship.
How Couples Therapy Works at Regenerative Psychology
Couples therapy at Regenerative Psychology is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to the needs of your relationship. Rather than following a rigid structure, your therapist works with both partners to shape the direction of therapy in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to you.
Initial Joint Session
Your first session is an opportunity for both partners to share what brings you to therapy, what you hope to strengthen or change, and how you’re currently experiencing the relationship.
Your therapist will guide a gentle, balanced conversation that helps everyone understand your priorities, concerns, and goals.
Collaborative Planning
Together, you and your therapist explore what approaches will be most helpful, whether that’s improving communication, rebuilding trust, navigating major life stressors, or deepening emotional connection.
The Gottman Method provides a research-based framework, but the work is adapted uniquely to your relationship.
Ongoing Sessions
Future appointments focus on what matters most to you both. This may include:
- Learning new ways to communicate and listen
- Resolving recurring conflicts
- Strengthening friendship and intimacy
- Rebuilding trust after a rupture
- Reducing stress and improving teamwork
- Creating shared meaning and connection
Your therapist ensures each session feels productive, respectful, and supportive for both partners.
